Designed for students with TEE Applicable Mathematics. Basic principles in mathematical modelling with examples from business and industry. Networks: modelling with graphs, designing optimal networks (Kruskal's algorithm), project networks (critical path method), network routing (Dijkstra's algorithm), switching networks. Optimisation: inventory models, linear programming modelling including the use of computer packages for solving problems.
